What is Botox?
Botox is a botulinum toxin that is meant to assist in relaxing and paralyzing certain muscles around the face that can create older appearance due to fine lines and wrinkles that can appear over time if left untreated.
How long does Botox last?
Botox will typically last anywhere from 3 to 4 months.
What to expect during your Botox treatment?
Patients can experience mild discomfort. At the patient’s request, topical numbing cream and be applied to assist in ensuring the patient is comfortable.
What should you expect after being injected?
Temporary mild tenderness, redness, and bruising can occur around the injection site. Patients can see a difference after 48 hours to 7 days after being injected. Patients are required to come back to the office for a follow up 10 to 14 days.
